Strata manager annual returns

Strata managers play a vital role in supporting strata companies and schemes across Western Australia. The annual return requirement is part of the State Government’s efforts to best support this industry and the consumers who rely on it.  

Strata managers in WA need to submit an annual return to Landgate under the Strata Titles (General) Regulations 2019 (the regulations) by 31 March each year. This legislated requirement, introduced through the 2020 reforms to the Strata Titles Act 1985, applies each calendar year until 2025.

The annual return collects key information about the strata schemes a manager oversees, including the number and size of schemes, the types of services provided, and total funds held on behalf of clients. This data helps inform government policy relating to WA’s strata management industry.

Volunteer strata managers do not need to complete an annual return.

2025 Strata Manager Annual Returns - now open, until 31 March 2026

Visit the 2025 Strata Manager Annual Returns online portal to submit your return.

2025 returns are to cover the period of 1 January to 31 December 2025.

Before making your submission, please carefully review Landgate’s 2025 annual returns checklist. The checklist is also available to reference within the portal.

Important information for 2025

  • A copy of your return will be emailed to the nominated email address upon submission. Please retain a copy of your return, as Landgate is unable to provide a copy if misplaced.
  • 2025 is the final calendar year for the legislated collection of the strata manager annual return under the current regulations.  
  • The portal now includes a field for strata managers to provide a trading name. The trading name, if provided, will be the name displayed on the Landgate website upon publication of the strata managers who have lodged their 2025 return. 
  • Terminology relating to strata manager qualifications has been updated to reflect the recently updated definitions in the regulations.

Previous Annual Return Results

The 2024 reporting period covered 1 January to 31 December 2024. A total of 122 submissions were received by 24 April 2025 (prior to the portal closing). These are summarised in the following resources:

2023 Strata Annual Return Findings

The 2023 Strata Manager Annual Return findings are now available. Landgate has compiled the results of the 2023 annual returns into an infographic comprising topline insights, as well as a more detailed presentation which includes analysis of responses across all sections of the survey.

The presentation provides an overview and analysis of the compiled data received by the strata management industry for the reporting period 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023.
